Need help with selection

I have a spot in the front of the bed where there is a gap in the boxwood hedge where I plan on putting in a hydrangea. Raised bed with morning sun till 2 int he afternoon. Has to be compact (3x3) and tidy looking since it will be in front.

I've read thru threads till my head started aching but I can't decide. I want something that is a reliable bloomer. Already have a oakleaf little honey so I don't want an oakleah hydrangea. Probably need something that blooms on new growth. Is ES my only option? Would have loved the new "masja" variety because of the lovely color but it only blooms on old wood so I don't know how reliable it is.
