Some Hydrangeas blooming while others aren't...

The Hydrangeas I've had at my home were there before I moved it. The first year they were wonderful. I've included a picture. The previous owners suggested adding bone meal to the soil in the fall. That is the only thing I did not do last fall. I trimmed them back when I was supposed to. Now, one bush is blooming on the bottom half and the four other bushes aren't blooming at all. This doesn't make any sense to me. I also have one seperate Hydrangea bush, a different type, that is also just blooming around the bottom.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I trimmed them in the fall back until the last green leaf. Also, I've seen people who don't trim them at all and they come back lovely. Help!
