Really feel ignorant on this; several weeks ago we photographed this shrub in central Alberta in Sir Winston Church Provincial Park. It is a hydrangea. Correct?

The leaves don't look like anything in any of our resources; they're rather the shape of a three lobed maple leaf. The cold hardiness zone for the area is 2; however the plant may have been in a warmer microclimate.

It appeared to be growing wild, but who knows it could still have been planted.

We were actually chasing the butterfly trying to get its photo at the time.
