PeeGees Not Blooming: Advice?

leafy02

I planted two small PeeGee hydrangeas last spring, on opposite sides of my yard, in semi-shade. They are about 36" tall and look healthy; they've grown a lot since last year, but neither of them has shown any signs of blooming.

I have Annabelles, Nikko Blues and some grocery-store hydrangeas in other places in the yard, blooming their pretty heads off, so I don't think my soil is the problem, but I'm not against feeding them if that would help.

I don't remember whether I pruned them late last summer to help them be less lanky and more bushy--is it possible that I pruned away every single potential blossom?

Thanks for any help!
