 o
best time to repot hydrangea that is getting too big for its pot

I have a potted hydrangea that grew considerably since last Summer. There are now six mopheads, 3 of which are in full bloom. The overall plant looks like it is too big for the planter, and I think I should pot it up sometime before next Spring. But when is the best time to do so? Should I wait until next Spring, and just after danger of frost has passed?

Thank you!

Yippee,

I have the same problem. I will re-pot mine this fall after all of the bloom heads are out of the way, but I don't think it really matters if you do it in early Spring or Fall. I think it's just best for the plant to be fairly dormant when you do it......yg
