Is it ok to transplant a hydrangea now to get it into the right light exposure?

It is not ideal, but if you can get a good sized rootball and you are prepared to baby it, it should be ok. I move things all year long (well, April through October) and rarely lose anything. I actually find I have better luck during the summer than I do later in the season. Just be prepared for transplant shock and lots of watering.
