This has some of the larger blooms in the PG family. If in mostly bright shade, the blooms might be the size of a regular Grandiflora instead of their full size. Just being hypothetical.

Let's clarify.....Hydrangea paniculatas are very sun tolerant but they do not necessarily require a lot of sun. They grow perfectly well in light, half-day or dappled shade and it has no effect on the flowering other than to prolong the bloom and/or the color somewhat.

Thank you for the replies. I have read in some threads that they need more sun. It's good to know that's not true bc my full sun spots are limited and i so love the Paniculatas! I am a very new gardener. I read a lot but I have gotten such mixed information. Thanks again :)
