I dont want any more ES. The FE look nice but maybe a bit short for what I wanted, I am looking for 4' tall minimum. Do you know how well the FE grows it hot dry Z9 california? It looks like it is mainly for northern climates from what little ive read.
I will try just about whatever hydrangea will do GOOD here, I want it to thrive, most of mine struggle for one reason or another.

Totally understand. Most FE's are hardy from Zones 4-9. I'm in Dallas where it is very hot and humid and mine are doing great so far. I have 3 and they are all thriving. I've listed a link to the FE website. Even though it states they are superior in the North I think they do well in any of the zones listed.

I wouldnt mind trying the FE but I keep thinking of just 2' tall, It probably would not be seen in my spot at just 2' tall & get no sun. I would much rather have a quick fire or lime light, but if that doesn't happen, I may take you up on one of your offerings.
