| Hi. I'm thinking of purchasing a Nightingale Hydrangea. My question is what color does the flower fade to and when does that begin to happen? I was thinking of planting it near a crape myrtle tree that flowers from late July through early September here on Long Island, and it would be nice if it was still blue during that timeframe.

| It's very showy hydrangea in prime time (vivid blue), but absolutely not interesting in a past-prime time. I'm across the Sound from you and by the end of July I'm trying not to look in her direction :-( |
