Hello, Freyja. That happens sometimes with newly planted shrubs. You could provide some support in the form of a chicken wire cage around it. Or individual support for only the canes that are doing this. As canes become older on year two and three (and so forth), this problem will not occur as often. Older stems are stronger so try not to prune them every year to make sure they get strong.

I was going to try a cage, but 1st, I just cut one bloom per branch, that way I still had some blooms, but they didn't weigh the branch all the way to the ground. It worked pretty well. I just cut about 1/5 the blooms and it worked really well.

My "drooping" is more critical. Nursery planted 3-year old plants (the big white ball version) this year. They are on a highly slanted planting area, with extremely well drained soil. After a beautiful spring start, one has started to wilt and the other is really going down. Leaves are curling up & balls are turning light brown. Too much water? Not enough water?? They are in full sun. Help!
