Help hydrangeas in trouble after transplanting

I am a beginner at gardening and decided to transplant 2 regular hydrangeas and 2 limelight hydrangeas in my backyard. I placed them along a retaining wall in front of a large live oak tree which provides shade but they are not doing well at all . It is 2. Days since the transplant. It is very hot here right now and I think I am giving them plenty of water but the leaves are acting wilted. The branches are not drooping. They are not brown, but they look like they are dying. Is it just shock? How can I tell the difference between shock and whether they are dying? Will they recover and come back next year? Can I do anything to help them recover?

Any advice as to what to do would really be appreciated. They were really beautiful before the transplant.

Thanks
