Plenty of water when the soil does not feel moist and give sun early in the day. Shade is good but not deep shade.

Do you know if the hydrangeas are hardy to your zone? If they are, feel free to plant them when the fall temperatures arrive. Feel free to deadhead the flowers now or wait until the blooms all dry out as the plant goes dormant in the fall. I usually take no action and, by sometime in March, notice that all leaves and most blooms most have disintegrated or fallen on their own.

FYI putting a florist potted plant (any) out into the sun is usually not a good thing to do at all. They are grown in greenhouses and sold in stores and sudden sunlight can burn the heck out of them. If they are a full sun plant and mophead hydrangeas aren't, they need to go out gradually.
