They will be fine......(not this year..being crushed) but they will resprout next year and be OK

Yeahp, they will be back and with a vengeance.

They are pretty tough so expect them to recover.

And since there is a sale going on, buy some companions to add to the garden. Remember, your husband owes you so.... get a few more plants! Hee hee hee!

I'm thinking if he trampled them directly enough to break the branches, he may have compacted the ground around them too. I'd buy a couple of bags of compost, top dress over the root zones and out with that so the worms can begin to condition and aerate the soil again.

And 5 years established they will likely recover just fine, you just won't see their progress until next Spring.
