| Hi,
I'm in zone 5 and have limelights getting partial sun in some good soil on one side of the yard, no problem. I'd also like to plant some on the "full sun" western exposure, but basically have a large area of sandy soil on that side of the yard. We rototilled yesterday and added some compost to let it sit all winter... any thoughts about whether limelights will be able to tolerate this? We do have rain barrels, but if this is going to be really difficult to keep them happy then maybe I should consider another plant. Thanks in advance! |

| Once established, Limelights are pretty drought resistant! Mine is now 2-3 years old in a full-sun location. This past summer has been very dry, but I have not had any problem with my Limelight at all! It just continued to bloom its heard off, without any problem despite the dry, hot condition! So I do not think that you will have any problem at all. Obviously, you need to get it established first before it will be good. Good luck! |
