Remove flowers from Limelight?

shelli563

This summer I planted a Limelight Hydrangea that was already in a tree form. It is about 5 feet tall. It is doing very well. Do I need to snip off the dried flowers for the winter? I'm thinking that heavy snow/ice may bend the branches and break them off.

Also, in the spring, should I prune back any of the branches or just let it be?

Thanks for your help,

Shelli
