I have a new Pinky Winky shrub (1.5-2ft), Quickfire (3ft), Limelight tree (about 5-6 main stems with large blooms and a few loose stems out the side with small blooms), Annabelle (a few stems about 3 feet with no blooms). Given they are all new and that I want to have large blooms on all, how do I prune each of these? I was going to cut Annabelle down to the ground after Thanksgiving and in March, cut the others down by 1/3. Given they are not very big, do I need to do this?
