Terrible Experience with Digital PH Meters

foreverone

I have been through 4 Digital PH meters over the last year.

My current Milwawkee Instruments PH51 just failed for the 3rd time. At one of those failures I had bought another brand as well and that one failed too.

I have had issues such as they won't adjust lower than 7, won't turn on, PH reading way off, won't recalibrate, sensor went bad, needing constant recalibration.......

I am sick and tired of it. Milwakee has great warranty service and they are sending me a new unit but I am week without a meter again and this is the 4th Milwawkee unit.

I have to check my PH every 2 days at least and adjust otherwise it rises to above 7.

Question: I want to buy a quality unit and hope it will last a while. I want the reading to be accurate and not need recalibration every time I use it.

What is the solution? Are there better quality meters than the typical handheld waterproof meters that have been around $75.

I have been probably spent $250 now in meters, shipping, gas back and forth to the hydro store, etc and still.... I want it to stop.

Any suggestions.
