Were these bare root plants, or already growing plants? What type of system are you growing in? Are you using lights? if so what is the temp at the plants?

If the plants wilted and died the same day, it sounds like they were live plats. But sounds like they are not getting sufficient water. They wont die in 24 hours from lack of nutrients, pathogens etc.

Wish I could help, we set out 32 bare-roots a week ago and their doing fine. We keep temp above 50 deg F at night and under 100 deg F during day. "nuts" at a ph of 6.20 seedling mix so much ph down to get good ph. We quit the RO thing and use tap water that has set in open barrel for several days to release gasses. Our first aeroponic effort is going well (so far) :-)

Hello and thanks for the responses. they are in expanded clay pebbles. They get 15 min of water every hr and 15 min. They were bare roots, however they already had 1 or 2 leaves each. They are in my homemade system, not sure exactly what you'd call it. I've got plants in pots, sitting a tray that drains into a 5 gallon bucket. There's a pump in the bucket that delivers water to the plants with a drip system. the reservoir holds about 2-1/2 gallons of water.
The plants are under a 100 watt HPS light.

Are the crowns above the expanded clay? They need to be.
Is the dripper feeding directly onto the crowns? It shouldn't.
Strawberries don't like for their crowns to be too wet.

I would tend to agree with Grizzman, they shouldn't die that quickly unless they were just drying up, may wanna increase the frequency of the irrigation. I'm a newbie all this too so pls take my info with a grain of salt. :)
