Can I re-use peat pellets?

I have an outside hydroponics system. Last year's plants have died and I'm looking forward to replanting seeds. My old peat pellets still seem usuable but have become green from algae. I soaked them in a 10% bleach solution which seemed to kill the algae, then washed them down a number of times in clean water. Now their ph is the same as the water. Can I re-use these pellets this year in my hydroponics system?

I have. I reuse mine from when the seed either didn't germinate at all or if the plant died early on. I treat mine with a mild hydrogen peroxide solution and then soak in water a few times.
