Aerogarden: Growing Tomatoes

Posted by attymusic (My Page) on

Hi. I have a 12 week old tomato Aerogarden and have 2 questions (for now!)
1. I have a lot of large cherry tomatoes but they are still green. One or two of the Golden Harvest are beginning to turn yellow but the Heirloom ones don’t show signs of turning red. I follow directions *water, darkness, light, nutrients. Any tips?
2. I have a lot of smaller tomatoes bunched together. Should I cut a few to give the others more room? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

One thing I have heard is that it can help to change out the water in the reservoir completely once in a while. Not sure if this is true so please verify it somewhere else. Also, I heard getting the upgrade kit with a third grow light can help. I hear their customer service is excellent, super friendly and informative if you call the 800 number or email them... you might also want to browse their Adobe PDF on cherry tomatoes that they have posted on on their website... see the link below...

Here is a link that might be useful: Cherry Tomato PDF on Aerogarden.com

Thanks so much for your input! I got verification from the company about changing the water. Further, I think upgrading is a great idea and it never occurred to me. Many thanks also for the great website. Coming soon, red tomatoes.
