Hey Guys,
I have read a lot about nutrient film techniques lately, and am ready to get started. I have my lettuce seedlings started in pearlite, and they are about a week old. I understand that many people use rockwool and oasis cubes to start their seeds as well.
Can you guys give me some advice on methods of putting the plants in the channel?
The first thought I had was that I could wash off the pearlite and put the plants in neoprene discs and suspend the discs above the nutrient solution.
I also thought that I could set the roots in the nutrient and let the plants fall over. This seems less than ideal.
I could set the pots filled with pearlite in the nutrient solution, but I have not heard of anybody doing this.
In the future, is it best to start out with something like oasis cubes? Any advice is appreciated.
