| I am pricing all the components to set up a proper garden, and wondered if an all-in-one meter was a good choice. Specifically, I came across the Hanna Gro’Check Continuous pH/TDS/EC/Temp meter. Are these types a good choice, or would task-specific meters be better?

| Really the only consideration is that if the unit itself breaks, you are out the cost of the whole thing. The probes are replaceable on both the combo and the individual meters so you don't have to worry about those either way. It's kind of like buying a combo DVD/VCR/TV etc. |
