What is "hot" weather?

As the subject states, what temp. range are we talking about when the variety of lettuce says "hot weather tolerant" or "excellent tolerance in hot weather"?

Nice question “carb”. Most of us faced this problem and get confused in temp we required.

or anyone has any experience growing heat tolerant varieties, and what temperatures did you grow them in with?

The most heat-tolerant varieties of lettuce are “Loose-leaf” and “Darwin” lettuce and these are the open head varieties.
