Hey Mark, could you tell a difference in taste between the soil grown and hydroponic grown?

Yes, the flavor is better. My wife, who is particularly taste sensitive says so. Even an old redneck like me noticed the difference. My wife was very skeptical of my hydroponic experiment but she is now a believer.

I'm using Dyna-Grow.

As far as I know, hydroponically grown lettuces are even told to have more taste than soil grown by gourmets and chefs. I believe that plants with actually little or simpler flavors, generally taste better when grown in hydro, - while other vegetables, grapes, fruits and various crops with richer and complex flavor can't often compete. Then again, from my experience most herbs (as basil, parsley, coriander) are very rich (richer?) in flavor.
