I think it will be fine. If there is a speck of food in your house that is not in a sealed container, which there is in everyone's, that will attract bugs much faster than some plants on the window.

Here's my take; Bugs are stupid!
Will they see your pretty plants through the window and fly towards them? yes.
Will they think to fly around the house looking for an open door to get to them? Well I haven't found a bug yet with that mental capacity.
So unless your window unit is right next to the open door and the bugs have a line of sight on it, then they probably will not find their way to your plants. At least not due to the open door.

my indoor hot peppers have attracted some tiny Wisconsin moth breed however this gave me the perfect excuse to run down to harbor freight tools and pick up one of those electric fly swatters....the best $3.15 I spent all year
