Orange tree DWC

I purchased an orange tree from Costco and transplanted it into the DWC. I bought the three-part flora series for my nutrient solution. Should I give it to 18 hours of light to start the vegitation process as stated on the flora series instructions or should I start blooming it with 12 hours of sunlight and 12 hours of darkness? How much nutrients should I give it? I'm growing out indoors using a 400w HPS light

EC 1.3 and 6.0 for pH.

Lots and lots of light to start! 14-16 hours is fine!
