Calcium nitrate for hydroponic use question.

I grow in containers using a very fast draning mix. Alot of growers like me call watering 'fertigation' because it borders on hydroponics because we are watering every day, and some use fertilizer with every watering like me. This year I'd like to use a little calcium nitrate in my water to supply an immediate calcium source to prevent blossom end rot in tomatoes. the instructions on the bag of cal. nit. say to use something like 1/2 teaspoon per gallon for hydroponics. Is that what a hydroponic grower would always have in the water? Or just once per week, etc. I'm trying to figure out how much to use and how often to use it. Thanks. Ed.
