I probably could have been more specific in my question. Yes, I'm not really concerned with using Ultra Violet as a lighting supplement for the plant foliage. However I do understand it helps suppress fungal, and microbial diseases on the plant foliage. But I was more interested in knowing if anyone has used UV in their nutrient solution for root disease control. Especially if it was a home built UV system. Though I'd still like to know if anyone has used store bought UV systems too.

Homehydro, I came across an article today on the cruise industry about pool sanitation I thought my be of interest to you but now I can't find it. It was on the children and infants pools on the Disney ships and how they use UV lights to treat the pools. If I find it again I will post it or e-mail it to you.
