Aeroponic Sprayer Height

Hello all,

I've built your standard 'aerospring' aeroponic sprayer in a rubbermaid type container. The 360 deg. spinning sprayers are on a 'T' bar which runs central between eight 3 inch net pots, 4 either side.

The net pots have a plant previously grown in rockwool, hydroton clay pebbles are used to backfill.

My question concerns the height of the spray bar.

1. Should the bar be positioned so that it hits the net pots in mid centre - possible water logged rockwool that way?

2. Should the bar be positioned so that it just sprays through the bottom of the net pots - I'm inclined to do it this way, the rockwool won't be too soaked and can absorb the nutrients up from the bottom.

3. Should the bar be positioned so it sprays below the pots - I could then water from above until the roots emerged to be sprayed.

4. Something different?

Any replies gratefully received.

Thanks.
