Thanks for that link but I wonder how accurate it is, given the fact that they are selling their own products. I have read on several forums that the seed does not need nutrients from the time it sprouts to the time it should be cut. Some others have suggested that nutrients prevent the grass from fully utilizing the nutrients in the seed. Any thoughts?

I just bought some wheat seed to ty for wheatgrass. It is regular red spring wheat. No nutrients are need for the seed to get to the size you want for juicing, however I do soak my seed (Barley for my horses) in water with Epsom salts added, 1 tablespoon per gallon of water to aid in the germination of the seed. I have soft water here so it does help with the process. I soak anywhere from 4 hours to 12 hours depending on my schedule.
