I am super excited about my new ebb flow tray. I am in a Zone 9b, so I have it outside under the giant light in the sky.

What should I grow first!? I was thinking lettuce and spinach until I realised they would probably be bitter in the heat this time of year. Are there flowers that would do well? Short & delicious plants?

I know basil will work well, so that is a starting point. Im going to put some cucumbers and tomatoes in there to get them going prior to transplanting.
