good organic hydroponic nutes for growing vegetables?

Hey everyone,

I'm new to this whole hydroponic and gardening thing. I'm still learning the basics. I have a two DWC setups with air stones currently and was looking to grow various vegetables (leafy vegs like lettuce, bok choy, maybe some kale and also some fruiting vegetables like tomatoes and peppers).

I know there is debate of what it truly means to be organic because organic can mean something different depending on who you are talking to. But I am looking for something that isn't synthetic and basically as close to organic as you can get. I've been told to check out fox farms hydro line of big bloom, tiger bloom and grow big. I've also looked into advanced nutrients Mother Earth Super Tea Bloom and Grow, and their Iguana Juice line. I've seen General Organics line, etc.

I'm so lost. I basically just want a decent organic fert that I can use in my DWC. A nute for veg for my leafy vegetables and then a good bloom for my peppers/tomatoes. Other than that do I need anything else like a micro or anything? Thanks in advance.

There are probably lots of them but I've been using the Botanicare Pure Blend stuff in my DWC for some time now and been very happy. Full strength for tomatoes and peppers, for lettuce and other green leafy things I use it at half strength. They don't claim to be truly organic but they do claim to be natural and they list their source materials.

Why do you want them to be organic?
If you're concerned with the methods of production, that is understandable.
If you're concerned with it getting into your body just remember that all nutrients, regardless of source, are broken down to the elemental level before entering the plant. So be wary of people trying to see you real estate in Florida.

The GH line up is the only one I would use in a DWC, if I were to use one in a DWC. Your going to be way better off sticking to mineral salt nutrients for your system. What I suggest is staying organic in the pest control area. This is where the poison is introduced, not in the man made nutrients.

High carbon (Organics) do not work well in DWC from experience and research. If you are interested in using Organics Ebb and Flow or a top feed system will work best. They will invite atmospheric micro organisms and will help better to promote the harvesting of atmospheric nitrogen.
