I am going to have about 4 aquariums and I am thinking to modify it for hydroponics system. However I never every use hydroponics system but I am very curious.

Any tips, advice and suggestion to make it happens will be appreciated.

Paint the outside opaque so no algae can grow inside.
drill a hole hear the bottom that you can plug to be able to drain the nutrient.

When you use fish for hydro it's called "aquaponics." A common method is to build a table full of hydroton clay pellets and a flood & drain system. Green leafy plants are much easier to grow than anything that fruits or flowers. Fish effluent is mostly nitrogen.

I put a link below that might give you ideas.
