edges of lettuce leaf cupping downward

Hello everyone, need some help please.

Running 'bubbleponic' system. Have roots suspended in nutrient solution with bubblestones for aeration. Everything going well, but wondering about the recent downward cupping of some leaves. Here's the facts:

-pH has needed to be brought up from as low as 5 to keep at about 6.0. Am using distilled water (5.5) but topped off with tap water to dilute and to bring up to 6.0. Then it lowers again and this time used baking soda to keep at 6.0.

-PPM about 500-600.

-175 watt MH light about 10" away. I think maybe too close, so I moved it up aroud 3".

-I have (2) bubblers next to each other, one with (3) lettuce plants, and the other with (1) lettuce plant. All plants to some degree are exhibiting this issue.

-Overall things going great- vigorous and green.

What do you think? THANKS.
