Passive Hydro

So I finally moved my lucky bamboos glass water to passive hydro.

What do y'all think?

The medium is perlite 2mm-7mm, hydroton ~7mm, a few small pebbles for weight/stability.

The perlite is extremely porous, like rice krispies.

At the bottom I put a very small amounts of Million A, a Japanese rock which is supposed to help with hydro.

Million A is: 72.9% SiO2, 9.92% Al2O2, 4.98% Na2O, 4.95%Fe2O3, 3.27%CaO, 0.13% K2O, Trace Mg, 3.81% H2O.

My understanding from Google translate of the Japanese site is that it dissolves, giving off oxygen and ions.

Gonna wrap it with some cloth to block out the sun, used glass so I can open up the cloth to check water levels.

Aquarium hose is for siphoning out water gas thief style, more than once ended up with a mouthful of grit...
