spinach problem

I run a flood and drain system, 15 minutes on 3 hours off in a square reservoir. Under sunlight and suplamental fluorescent lighting. The lights are off for 6 hours at night. For some reason after the spinach plant hits about 6 inches it starts flowering. What am I doing wrong, how can I stop the flowering?

cabt edit message above, but wanted to also point out that my dill is also flowering, but it appears my basil is still going strong.

It might be too warm. spinach is a cool weather crop. Warm weather makes it bolt to seed.
