What is the correct PH for hydroponic tomatoes?

I cleaned my deep water culture bucket out and replaced it with new water. I am growing tomato plants in this bucket. When I tested the water, it was yellow, no green. Whenever I test the water in the ebb and flow system, it is always greenish yellow, which I'm told is fine for Alpine strawberries. Not sure why the same water is different in the different systems. What is a good PH range for tomatoes to grow in? If my water is yellow after I tested it (6.0), should I alter the PH, and if so, how? Thanks.
