I think that one good reference guide is OK, but just about all there is to know can be found on the internet. I've been surfing for about 7 years and still find interesting info, and this forum . . . IS THE BEST for ANY info you need.

I agree, surf the web! I bought Keith's book too and its a great BASE of know how, but after I built my systems from his plans in the book, I was lost on where to actually start - so thats why I built my website - I intended my site to be a supplement to folks that buy his book and build but need help. I found that its easy with some guidance. Eventually I'll have more tutorials that show how to add your nutrients, etc. Right now I have seed starting, water testing and will soon have some cloning tutorials

Roberto's book got me going. I would definitely change the aero design he put in the book to include a separate reservoir for the pump. Even if you use a pump bag the roots find a way in. Can be a bit inconvenient when your plants are big and you need more access than a hole can provide in order to clean roots from the pump. My 6 foot pepper plants love the system, but seem to love the pump a lot, too!

In other words, I agree that the only book you need is that one with all the info on the net. And even that one isn't necessary, but I think roberto deserves to receive sales for putting things so simple even I could get it.

Get Dr. Howard M. Resh's "Hydroponic Food Production".

In my opinion there is no better manual on the subject.
