DWC basil and Bellpeppers

| This is my first time growing hydroponically….my little experiment! I took 2 cuttings and planted to seeds.

| The cloning solution work well....first i made the cuttings...poured some cloning gel in a little container....dipped the cuttings in the gel...and placed them in 1 1/2in. rockwool cubes....then i placed them in the deep water culture system and boom. |

| Really nice job, but I would guess you'll run into a hitch later on. Your peppers will need almost no nitrogen at all (if you give them too much you won't get any peppers) but the basil will need nitrogen to be healthy. You'll probably end up needing to separate them so you can give them each the diet they require. I'll tell you one thing though, basil practically explodes in DWC. I chopped mine back several times before I had to just put it outside in soil. It grew way too fast in hydroponics. |
