What is the liquid that they ship the PH probe in?

I got the three gang digital meter that shows PH, PPM, and Temp, and they say to clean it and store it in some liquid they want to sell. I say that because they refer it to something they call Rejuve It! Electrode cleaner. I rinsed the probes in distilled water and let them air dry. Then I inserted the PH probe back into the little bottle of liquid it shipped in.

Can anyone tell me more about taking care of the probes that only involves things I can get in a local store?

This is a CWP Meter. After reading the paperwork, I'm a little nervous to do anything with it. The one probe has a 6 month warranty, and they warm you not to abuse it by looking at it wrong, or the warranty is void.

We keep ours in tap water because that's what the manufacturer recommends. Our's specifically says not to store it in distiller water or buffer solution.

Take a pH reading of the solution and if it's anywhere near 7.0-ish, just use tap (not distilled) water. Remember to keep it wet because "If it dries, it dies".
