I am thinking of attempting to grow vegetables year round in either a hydroponics or aquaponics system. I have done a lot of research on both setups and am still in the air on which is best, I may just try both. My main concern is that the cost of electric running the pumps, and lights, and possibly heating the water for aquaponics. I guess basically I am asking is if there is a major rise in anyone's electric bill that makes is cheaper to just go to the store and buy the vegetables?
