| I found a 50 gallon tub today for $16.00. If I used such a tub for a hydroponic reservoir, what size pump should I need if my setup entails using eight PVC pipes (6" inside Diameter)? Does the length of each pipe determine which pump I would need? |

| volumetric flow requirements dictate the size pump you need. this is simply how much volume over a given time frame is required. more information on what kind of system you're trying to build would be useful in helping to size a pump. |
