Hydroponic Advice (Newbie)

I recently started a veggie garden in my apartment patio (In large wooden planters). Im growing green and red bell peppers, Wee B Little pumpkins, strawberries, and some greens.

While exploring the Home Depot site for a new planter I saw the "Hydro Pickers Hydroponic Grow Box" and wanted some reviews on it.

I wasn't able to find much online, and I want to know if it is effective, and safe to use for edible foods. Basically, if you have used this grow box, what was your experience?

I have a medium size patio, so I am trying to maximize on space as well!

If you are trying to maximize your space on the patio, I would stay away from those type systems from home depot etc as there are many cheaper options to build (very simply build I might add =) ) that are more space efficient. Specifically a NFT system built in an A-frame design or NFT half-A that can lean up on a border of the patio. I will try to find you a link I can share of designs.

There are 5x5" and 4x4" white vinyl post covers that would work well for your purpose. Home depot sells them, as well as end caps that you can glue on. Drill your plant holes with a drill and a hole saw. Run solution through it and it's a hydro machine. You can use a mag-drive pump and a spray line like the General Hydroponics Aeroflow machines.
