rain water in dwc

Hi again all,I have another question:) I collected rain water in a plastic 50gal drum. So I brought some indoors and added a air stone and a fish tank heater set at about 68 to 70 deg. Can I use this water in my dwc bhut jojuka plant? My ph and ppm meter are both broke (shouldn't have left them in a box for 3yrs I guess:) I do have a ph tester that is used for pools, but I'm not to sure if they are that accurate. What I usually do is use tap (well)water and mix the nutes at half strength and so far have not had any probs. But I've noticed no matter how much I water my outdoor tomato garden, nothing beats a good rain (I can actually see the new growth after a good rain!)So I figured why not use rain water in my indoor dwc? Does anybody use rain water? Is it bad? I've heard about acid rain, does this mean it will be too acidic? Thanks all:)
