Metal Halide Lamps From Home Depot

| I want to get a security light from home depot instead of paying for the more expensive versions from hydro stores, but don't understand if I need a ballast or if they are built in. Does anyone here have experience with these? |

| most of the ones I've seen have the ballast built in. beware they are awkward because of that. also, make sure you buy a hydroponic MH bulb. then make sure they both are designed for the same orientation (horizontal or vertical) let us know how it works out for you. |
