Building my own system

wordwiz

This is a no-doubt, redneck, hill-jack build. Four foot wide, about 13 feet long. It will house tomatoes.

The bottom is old 2x4s from a shed I tore down last year. The pieces have been scabbed together to make the length I need. The cross pieces are from the same shed.

The "floor" is picket fencing, scavenged from a neighbor who wanted the fence torn down. I did buy some 1x2" boards to use as framing for the sides (six total) but the sidewalls will also be the picket fencing.

I plan on covering the insides with an old, used swimming pool liner I saved from many years ago. I propbably will splurge for a couple pieces of particle board for the roof.

It will be mostly an aeroponics system, using some PVC I have laying around plus several .015 micron misters. I should get them Tuesday or Wednesday so I can see how much area they cover and what king of distance I need from the top of them to the bottom of the net pots.

This should be informative but not expensive!

Mike
