Been using an activated charcoal filter - made myself - for years. It's a 1m long, 40mm white drain pipe with hose connnections on either end. It can take up to ± 500L of tapwater.
Works well and is easy to use.

Chloramine can be removed from tap water by treatment with superchlorination (10 ppm or more of free chlorine, such as from a dose of sodium hypochlorite bleach or pool sanitizer) while maintaining a pH of about 7 (such as from a dose of hydrochloric acid). Hypochlorous acid from the free chlorine strips the ammonia from the chloramine, and the ammonia outgasses from the surface of the bulk water. This process takes about 24 hours for normal tap water concentrations of a few ppm of chloramine. Residual free chlorine can then be removed by exposure to bright sunlight for about 4 hours.

This thread is old but I was curious about your chloramine filter...

Do you soak the water in the filter for a period of time, or just pass it through?

Where did you get the activated charcoal, was it expensive, and how often do you change it/replace it?

And finally any luck with the super-chlorination removal method?
I can't use a RO system due to the amount of water I need, and can not permitted to waste any. I am not really concerned with the salts, just the chloramine and would like to remove if possible.
