It's a fact copper will leech into your water if the ph is 6.8 or below. Most plants prefer 5.5-6.5ph. Therefore, copper is a bad idea.

Stevemac00 gave you good advice. The copper wouldn't stay shining anyway like a James Bond gizmo (which really would be cool if it could be done) and would look ugly quickly wherever iot contacted the nutrient. The fertilizer salts in this case even at pH of 7 will be a strong electrolyte and will naturally corrode, made worse if you have a pump in there which promotes galvanic action in its surroundings.

On the flip side at mild pH it would work for a while for crops not sensitive to copper and you would never need to add copper sulfates and chelates, and they would likely accumulate that element.
