I'm using an autopot system. The kit I purchased came with root control mats cut to the size of the pots that came with the kits. I want to try using other containers and need to create root control mats for 6 inch square pots.
The mats need to let nutrient flow up into the plant but keep the roots in and they need to be safe (food grade) because I'm growing veggies in the pots. Does anyone know if the "weed control" mats sold by garden supply stores will work for this purpose?
