anyone use NFT with a timer?

| I have read on other sites where people are using a timer, like 15 minutes on 30 minutes off, anyone do this and results? I guess you would need spreader mat for this? |

| To me the appeal of NFT is one less component to deal with. In this case, the timer. But I suppose it would work. I've had reservoirs run dry on me and the plants did all right. they got a bit droopy but otherwise rebounded fine. I'm sure you could cut out some of the watering if you were so inclined. |
